Torrance, CA. -While waiting for the shuttle in the parking lot of the American Honda headquarters, I had the opportunity to meet a local cycling rider from the club South Bay Wheelman. We began to talk about local cycling, his cycling club and about the state of cycling in Southern California and the United States. We were both enthusiastic about attending the Rally Cycling 2017 Team Launch Party at the American Honda Museum less than a mile from the headquarters. Two Rally Cycling vans pulled up and we thought to ourselves, “wouldn’t it be cool if we could ride in the team van?” Well ask and you shall receive! We were fortunate that the driver who is also the team bicycle mechanic welcomed to take the two guests and two other attendees to the party. Team Be Non Human athlete Miyo Strong (Utah) battled through a tough division to capture her silver medal at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Master’s World Champions in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shana Pasapa, Jiu-Jitsu/MMA

Shana Pasapa of the First Nation aboriginal from the White Bear First Nation in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada being interviewed by CBC News. Pasapa was a 2015 recipient of the CBC Future 40 in the sports category. Shana is a Jiu-Jitsu/Mixed Martial Arts fighter who has her sights on a career in UFC.

Counquer Your Terrain


Joy Moody of Florida won the Conquer Your Terrain Obstacle Course race today and was 1st place female overall winner, along with a nice prize check for efforts! Moody is competing in the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships in Canada in October 2016.

Sometimes you meet a person who you are so blown away by that they make you nervous. The nerves aren’t any fault of the person’s, it’s just that their existence and accomplishments leave you in awe, which makes you a bit anxious.
